STREETS ’27

Streets & Trails Reimagined for Everyone to Enjoy and Traverse Safely

STREETS ’27 is a multi-year project involving the residents of Forest Home, the Town of Ithaca, Cornell University, Tompkins County, and other stakeholders. The goal is to improve the quality of life in Forest Home by:

  • Reducing the impacts of traffic
  • Improving safety for vulnerable road users
  • Enhancing the beauty of our streetscape

Community engagement is a key component of this project. These webpages have been created to provide you with information on how to contact the Forest Home representatives on the STREETS ’27 steering committee with your questions and suggestions, as well as regular updates, background information and other resources. We look forward to working with a consultant who will engage with our community to identify and prioritize issues, reach updated and innovative solutions, and develop an implementation plan.

Forest Home is a very special community. We appreciate this opportunity to strengthen our neighborhood connections and improve the quality of life for present and future residents.
